Most CILs struggle to have the resources to serve everyone in their service area. There has historically been a “do more with less” approach to funding and staff time when it comes to serving people with disabilities. Funding may be needed for space, supplies, staff salaries, and outreach and engagement activities. Thus, you might want to have a staff discussion about whether or not your center is ready to invest in rural outreach.
